Tī Kōuka's Studio Treaty

This week we read the Tree Hut Treaty. In the story, the children decided it would be a good idea to come up with some rules for their treehouse that they all agreed on. They called the rules a treaty. We talked about how New Zealand also has a treaty- The Treaty of Waitangi. We decided it would be a good idea to have a treaty for Tī Kōuka so we can all be happy and safe in the studio.


The rules we decided we wanted on our treaty are:









Instead of signing the treaty we coloured in our hands to help make our Tī Kōuka tree.
